NEW VIDEO | NU CHINESE BISTRO #chopstickfest

Dining in Chinese restaurants – where I sometimes wish I could speak and understand Mandarin fluently!!! 🙂 Hey, ordering food in Mandarin (or any other language corresponding to the cuisine) can come in handy and is a great skill to have. It helps a lot to know another language but luckily for us we had a table full of friendly and kind Mandarin-speaking foodies who helped us with translating! Thanks a TON for the conversations and enjoying Shanghainese food with us!

What did we have?? Xiao long bao, smoked duck, free run chicken, and more!! Stephen’s favourite dish was the duck (He loves eating duck); I also enjoyed the duck but I must say I loved the sweet and spicy crispy prawns! I liked how the flavours go so well with each other and that the prawns were juicy. The restaurant has a less than traditional exterior dĂ©cor and design and gives room to dress up the interior for celebrations, events, or an intimate wedding. They also had a room with a window where we were able to watch one of the prep cooks making the sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaf.

Thanks for having us, Nu Chinese Bistro! Keep an eye out for more Chopstick Fest events, coming soon!
